Placement Assistance Program
for horses and horse owners in need.

Due to the large volume of horses and horse owners in need, we have started a placement assistance program.

We are not an adoption center. A Placement fee is required along with a visit to your facility or current photo’s of the prospective new placement. Placement home must agree to provide permanent home and safe environment for the horse which includes a stall or shelter for bad weather, safe fencing, adequate funds to provide proper health care including every 4 to 6 week hoof trimming, minimum yearly teeth floating,
by-annually and annual shots, and adequate de-worming program. If placement home can not provide the horse(s) with a permanent home we must be contacted so an alternative placement can be located. The placement family does not have the right to sell the horse. If for any reason the family or person can not fulfill the obligation to the horse we must be contacted in order to find the horse a new caretaker family or person.

Many of these horses have ongoing health needs, some are older horses that will make a great pasture buddy for your existing horse, some of them can be ridden but may need an intermediate or advanced rider. Let us know your riding and handling experience.

For more information on having a horse placed with you contact: Claudette Osborne at osequinerescue@aiemail.net
or call 210-827-3136.

Donations accepted.
All homes must be approved before placement.
We greatly appreciate your love and concern for these majestic animals.
